April, as I commented on this image in the TME forum, I like it very much. But I do have a question: would you have noticed this this scene might make a good image had there been no snow on it? It seems to me that the railings would fade into the background, as they are very similar in color.

I remember passing this same location on another day at about the same time in the morning, and it definitely didn’t jump out at me as it did on this morning.
Though it might have made a study in contrasts of line, I agree the snow adds much more — beyond contrast, perhaps a quality of life or liveliness to the static architecture?
