Rediscovered while “cleaning house”, this pair of images was photographed last September when our neighborhood streets and sidewalks were under construction. I wonder if the workmen were annoyed…
April,
I ‘ll be back to comment on these pictures.
I comment on REMEMBER…
Hey April,
I really like the ‘just passing through’. I love how the footprints keep drawing you back down into the image. In fact liking it a lot!
Splat is a more simple image for me, not as compelling as the other.
Stephen
It’s interesting to read your viewpoint, Stephen; thank you.
Initially drawn to “Just Passing Through”, after processing I decided “Splat!” was the stronger image. I particularly like the contrasting directions of the footprint and splatters—as if the person was sideswiped in surprise. It has a feeling of immediacy which appeals to me.
Flac ! Floc ! will be the French words. I like your approach to simple things and like also your own comments on your pictures, very revealing how you see the world, and so much interesting for the viewer. I learn a lot from your comments. Thank you, April.
Google translates “floc” to “plop”! Another good word for the first image. 🙂
