Just the other day…I had great fun at our local garden center. These images were photographed through a “wall of water” fountain, capturing flowers in the background. There’s no manipulation involved, other than typical enhancement of the RAW file during post-processing.
At a price of $1,900 we won’t be buying one of those fountains! But maybe I can rig a hose on a storm window in our own garden… 🙂
Garden hose and storm window ought to make a nice water wall to see through. These images are so – fluid – for lack of a better word, lol. I love the bands of colors in them – and darned if I can pick which one I like better!
I did have fun setting up a rig in our backyard today, and getting a feel for how it can work. Took some test shots and setup shots, and will post if anything comes of it!
Hi April
Really well spotted and a good selection of shutter speed, leaving just enough detail and colour. Really nice work , landscape is my favourite.
Alan
Thank you, Alan. Your mention of the effect of shutter speed is spot on. I played with several as it became clear even 1/2 stop had a big impact on results.
Now you know where the Aqua in the german word “Aquarell” (watercolor) comes from…!
cheers
